I installed the beta on Win7 and got a DX error, easily fixed but it might be worth adding a DirectX runtime installer?
Are some of the textures missing on the adventure game scene? On Win7 I didn't get the TV AVI, I hven't had chance to check on the other PC.. maybe a codec i missing on the Win7 one, its a fairly new install

Thank you for your clue, it's helpful. Sure, the reason of AVI problem in Win7 is codec; but your avi files in the candyboom game works well, what's the software you use to encode video?

Candyboom I used Flash to make the AVI, but I just used the standard windows codec, now I'm more likely to use DivX, lot better compression/quality, I've never tried one in Awakening yet

But default Win7 cann't decode DivX; I've checked the avi file of 'candyboom', it's 'Cinepak Codec', so I intend use Cinepak codec for the avi file, it's more compatible.
