 lightmap question

hi,
i noticed that the larger the lightmap of the scene used,the more time aw will consume,
the contract is remarkable(use lightmap or not),if i generate a lightmap in my scene(using default setting, one light),then press F5 to test ,it always takes about 2x or 4x time to start the project.
i saw the demo scene "hall",it has a lightmap too,but load and run fast.
so,where did i go wrong?

the lightmap data size rest with model size & Sample Spacing, the number of lights is uninterested.
you can right-click in the Texture Browse Window, then select "Lightmaps" to check lightmap's amount.
