Hello,
i'm interested to know if it's possible to import the .x file with animation in Awakening ? So it should be possible to play the animation from .x file eg. from frame x to frame y. Are there any other Software outside 3dsmax with which we generate a Bone animation and a skinned mesh for Awakening ?

Thx for a reply

Awakening supports importing bones animation from .x file, so you can use any 3d program as long as it can save data as .x format; e.g. MilkShape 3D.

I'm really think about to buy a license of Awakening. The only thing that prevent me at the moment from it is that i can't handle my DirectX .x files with animation from Truespace. Seems the animation will not import correctly or i do somethin wrong. I see no animation. Hope you can help me. I will explain my steps with this images.

The .x file i will add later.

I can't download, but I think the problem is exporting .x file from trueSpace, the exported x file doesn't include animation data. You can send the .x file to me by email: techsupport @ awingsoft.com

I've found out the problem: the animation in your file is only 38 ticks (milliseconds) time length. When importing, Awakening take frames per 160 ticks, so only one frame imported. Try to set a longer time animation in trueSpace, at least 320 ticks, then try again.
