Your gonna love me Confused

Although the textures are in both the main textures folder and the scenes texture folder i get white squares, if i toggle between "show file names" i can get the images but they go again using the main view

If i go to the add lights etc, textures will appear on the mobile, move away the texture disappears..

once you start using surfaces and lights the whole thing gets totally unstable and Awakening stops responding

Running the scene and textures are very random or they just don't show at all
This model works perfectly on a XP machine with a a cr*ppy 64 meg intel video chip

I've looked for update drivers and Vista rejects them and rolls back to the originals, i've turned off a lot of the Vista bull but it hasn't done any good

Running in compatability mode XP sp2 and disabling desktop composition makes a hell of a difference, i tryed compatibilty when i first got the PC and it didn't help. disabling Vista's desktop composition seems to be the key

As it stands, things are looking good, i'll keep on building a scene and let you know if it starts playing up at all

I've been pulling my hair out over Vista, and i know a few other people having problems with 3D software, all i've done this year is mess about trying to make things work!

I guess its Microsofts way of getting people to buy their approved software and make it harder and harder for small companies

I'm still having problems with view points freezing while editing etc

but .. i'm not convinced its an awakening problem, more to do with DirectX 10 and Vista as i'm having huge problems with everything 3D related.. I'll wait and see what happens when the next beta is up for testing, and in the meantime try and find an answer to my OS problems, at the moment HP/Compaq support is a waste off time lol

Still no good idea for the problem; Awakening runs smoothly on a RADEON X1200 + Vista system. The Nvidia' last driver for your GPU is "Version 15.01 Release Date: July 2, 2007", you can manually download & try it:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_winvista32_15.01.html

Also, try to "Disable Hardware Vertex Processing" in Awakeing's "Change Device..." Option Dialog.

Currently, you had better install a WinXP system on your new machine Wink
