Distort effect is a cheap process, it only use bump mapping technique, no need pixel shader. Combine with a bump map, Distort can produce kinds of effects.

Sure, all effects are real-time rendering. Most of them needs pixel shader 1.4, means runs on dx8.1 level 3d-accelerator.
I think that the first beta release of Awakening 3.0 is coming soon.
