for me if you stay on the block until the creature gets there then run past him, up the tunnel, turn and face him, when he fires the fire ball doesn't come up the tunnel, it heads towards the block the player was standing on
This is very impressive Vincent! the online version runs great... any closer to 3rd person?

3rd person can be achieved by scripting, the main thread is use scene.trace to trace a ray which start from player's position, then find a appropriate camera position; it's not too difficult; if have time, i'll try this.

I think with 3D Gamestudio and Unity and like Awakening the 1st person view has width and height, but Unity is pill shaped object which you replace and offset camera
Have you considered a way we could have a library with presets for materials, It would help new users a lot being able to add pre made material that they can adjust to there needs, I beta test a commercial renderer and most people would be lost if there wasn't the basic presets (glass, metal, plastic, normal mapping etc)

The materials library is good, this feature is useful sure. But currently no time to achieve it yet, because a lot of other things need to do; but I also think the idea is important & right, thank you.
